This item is in good condition. There is plenty of normal wear for an item of its age but it is fully functional and structurally sound.
Built by H. Weymann and Sons in Phildelphia, PA in the 1920s and 30s, Weymann Banjos were well known for building high-quality banjos with unique features. This case housed one of their tenor models built in that era and is looking for a banjo in need of an original case. While it certainly shows its age (we like to call it character), it is in much better condition than other cases we've seen that are this old. It is still sturdy and all of the original latches work. The original handle is still there (mostly) and usable, although the leather and padding has deteriorated, leaving behind the metal frame.
