We are in search of the right candidate(s) to join our small (but growing) family. Small Box Music is a Family-Owned, Independent Music Store located in uptown Maumee, OH with a primary focus on guitars and other stringed instruments. We pride ourselves in offering a comfortable, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere for both our customers and employees. 

We are currently looking to fill (1) full-time position and (1) part-time position immediately. These positions are primarily retail / sales based, but include some other aspects as well. Compensation and benefits available for these positions are as follows:

Part-Time Associate (25 hours / week or less)

• Starting Base Pay: Starting hourly pay is determined by previous experience, with a raise available after your first 30 days. Additional raises are available with time by learning new skills and taking on new duties. 
• Additional Pay: Sales Bonuses and SPIFFs available IN ADDITION to hourly wage. 
• Paid Time Off: Paid Sick / Personal Time and Holiday Pay are offered to ALL employees.  
• Store Discounts: Special employee pricing on the items and shipping services we offer available immediately upon hire date. 
• Paid Daily Breaks: Every shift includes a lunch (or other) break(s) "on the clock."
• Other: Break Room area is commonly stocked with snacks and beverages for all employees in addition to occasional Catered Employee Parties, Meetings, and Events.

Full-Time Associate (30+ hours / week)

• Same as Above, PLUS...
• More Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accumulated faster, and with the ability to accumulate more hours.

Helpful Experience

It is desired (but not required) that new employees have some practical experience with some, or all, of the following: basic computer skills (desktop / iPad navigation, email, web browsing, etc.), basic knowledge of stringed instruments and accessories, retail sales, customer service, shipping, and receiving. Added bonus if you have any experience with guitar maintenance / repair, Photoshop, basic web design, social media, inventory, or ordering. We are a small, family business and we all help do a little bit of everything that needs to be done, so if you would like to be a part of our team and have any other skills that you think might be useful, we would love to know about them.
