DiPinto Guitars was founded in the Fishtown section of Phildelphia, PA in 1995 as a small guitar repair shop. Eventually, owner / luthier Chris DiPinto transformed the shop into a retail location, showcasing his own creations. The guitars he built combined many classic elements of vintage and modern guitars, along with his own innovations and ideas, producing unique, stage-worthy guitars with a quirky, retro vibe. This modest, small business has since grown into a full-scale guitar manufacturing operation, while still maintaining its original retail and repair shop and is still family-owned to this day.
The Mach IV is one of Chris DiPinto's most well-known original designs. This particular one was built in Korea. Their current "import" models have since been sourced from China. However, all guitars are sent to their facility in Philadelphia for final assembly, set up, and QC before hitting the market. This is truly a high-quality instrument that is comparable to anything hand-made in a USA custom shop.
