Vintage 1965 Gibson Melody Maker w/ Original Case
Gibson first built the Melody Maker in 1959 and later discontinued it in 1971. It was originally designed as an entry level, student guitar but is now sought after by professional musicians as both a collector's piece and a gigging guitar. It has a thin slab-style mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck.
Notable guitarist who have been known to wield a Melody Maker include Joan Jett, Slash, Billy Gibbons, Gary Moore, Mick Jones, and Pat Travers.
