Tokai was founded in 1947 in Japan, where they still build high quality instruments and are particularly well-known for their Gibson and Fender style replicas. Many players actually prefer the Tokai version to the originals that they are emulating. Some notable guitarist who play Tokai include Brian May (Queen), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), and Robert Fripp.
This particular Love Rock model has a sunburst finish with humbucker style pickups and includes vintage style tuning machine. It weighs in at 8.3 lbs and plays and sounds just as it should. We believe it is one that is just as good (or better) than the "real thing."
