This item is in very good condition. The previous owner added the logo of a famous amp company that rhymes with "Schmarshall" on the front. It has been removed from the pictures here so as to not be misleading. It is not a real "Schmarshall."
First off, there is one thing clear about this amp: It Rips. It Roars. It Screams. It Dooms. It Chugs. It Melts. It does just about everything you want it to do, as long as that thing is an adjective that describes something intense. But it also, surprisingly, is able to produce some good high-gain tones at quiet bedroom levels as well.
This amp started its life as a Metro Amp kit (when they still made those - with the good components), specifically a JMP 2203 clone, that was hand-wired. It was later given a mod to make it more similar to the Friedman JEL-100 Jake E. Lee Signature head so both of the Input II jacks have been bypassed and the Volume II control is now Gain, while the Volume I contol is Volume. The top Input I jack is the high gain input and the bottom Input II jack is the low gain input. Both will get very loud and hot. But, as previously stated, if you use the high gain input, crank the gain and drop the volume, you can also get low volume, high-gain tones. This is a reversible modification.
It also has the standard features you would expect: Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble controls; an effects loop; (2) speaker outputs; and selectable impedance (4, 8, 16 ohms).
