Used D'Angelico Deluxe Series Ludlow Electric Guitar w/ Case - Army Green 120119
This item is in Excellent condition.
The D'angelico guitar company began with one man- John D'angelico, who founded the company in 1932 in Little Italy, Manhattan. At its peak in the late 1930's D'angelico was known as the premier archtop builder. After John passed away the company lied dormant for years before three men-Brenden Cohen, John Ferolito Jr., and Steve Pisani- bought the company name in 1999. The new owners began with only a few reissues of original D'angelico guitars, the company soon took off and began experimenting with new designs. Some notable players for the company include Bob Weir, Chet Atkins, and Susan Tedeschi.
Since returning to the world of guitar, D’Angelico have been reinventing their legacy through interesting offset models such as the Ludlow. Equipped with a set of Custom Seymour Duncan DA-59 pickups, and coil splits on the tone knobs-the Deluxe Ludlow not only sounds great as a humbucking guitar, but achieves Strat-like slinky sounds like you’d never expect. The Mother of Pearl/Abalone Split Block inlays give the Ludlow a distinguished look, that matches perfectly with the Hunter Green finish and Pearloid pickguard. With a basswood body, and a maple/walnut 3-piece set neck, you can expect ringing, everlasting sustain, and a definite, strong attack. The pau ferro fingerboard is accented by classy ebony volume and tone knobs, while the gold hardware brings a sense of sophistication to the overall picture. Complete with a deluxe hardshell case, the Deluxe Ludlow from D’Angelico is a hard guitar to beat for everything it offers.
