This Builder's Edition masterpiece draws a sophisticated sound from its Torrefied Sitka Spruce top. Torrefication is a unique process where the wood is heated over an extended period of time in an oxygen-free kiln. This process bakes the wood and “cooks off” the oils and resins that typically take several years to diminish in newly harvested wood. The result is a more durable and temperature resistant soundboard with a vintage sound.

The projection and volume that the Grand Pacific body shape is able to produce is strengthened by the 517's V-Class Bracing. Through this new bracing system; the 517e is shocking listeners with enriched sustain and superior volume. You'll notice a V-Class guitar by its telltale black nut and the unmistakable, revolutionary sound.
